Mattress Builder Gets Smarter, Image Editor Arrives — 16th June 2025 Platform Release

Asset A

New Feature Launch: Image Editor 🎉

We are excited to officially release the Image Editor inside Imagine.io’s production environment — bringing powerful post-render editing directly into the platform for the first time. This new feature allows users to make real-time adjustments to rendered images without requiring external tools or third-party editors.

Key Capabilities Now Live:

  • Non-Destructive Editing Workflow:

Users can make adjustments while preserving the original render, offering full flexibility to switch between original and edited versions at any time.

  • Manual Precision Controls:

Direct numeric input allows precise control over adjustments such as brightness, contrast, saturation, exposure, and sharpness — now fully supporting both positive and negative values.

  • Smooth Reset & Save Logic:

Reset, save, and cancel actions are fully stabilized — preserving edits and ensuring user inputs are never lost during navigation.

  • Edit State Preservation:

Edited images remain fully intact across downloads, exports, and preview sessions — ensuring full visual consistency from editor to final asset delivery.

  • Optimized Performance:

Loader behavior has been fully optimized to eliminate redundant UI delays, ensuring a smooth editing experience even across multiple save cycles.

  • Accessibility Enhancements:

Users can now navigate comparison sliders using keyboard arrows, improving accessibility for power users.

  • Consistent Slider Navigation:

Image comparisons between original and edited versions remain fully synchronized, regardless of user navigation patterns.

Mattress Builder: Internal Layer Stability & UX Refinements

A complete overhaul of the internal layering engine now provides more stable calculations, better alignment handling, and smoother adjustments during design workflows:

  • Accurate Layer Height Distribution: Adjustments to internal layer heights now distribute correctly across all layers without introducing imbalance or overflow.

  • Boundary Handling: Internal layers remain properly contained within the mattress boundary at all sizes and dimensions.

  • Preventive Safeguards: Validation has been added to prevent setting invalid zero heights or infinity values in the layer adjustment fields.

  • State Preservation: Internal layer structures are now fully retained while switching mattress sizes or reloading configurations.

  • Improved Loading Sequences: Eliminated flickers where external layer visuals briefly appeared during loading sequences.

  • Repositioned UX Controls: Duplicate and replace icons have been repositioned for better accessibility and visibility.

  • Layer Highlighting: Active layers now highlight correctly when replacing or deleting, improving visual feedback during edits.

  • Exploded View Management: Exploded views are now automatically disabled when no internal layers exist, ensuring cleaner behavior.

  • Height Adjustment Flow: Enhanced user experience while managing height during inner build operations, resulting in smoother vertical adjustments.

  • X-Ray Mode Deprecation: Legacy transparency handling (X-ray mode) has been fully removed, streamlining the codebase.

Mattress Builder: Upload Limit Deduction Enhancements

We’ve introduced a full restructuring of model upload deduction logic to ensure accuracy across live production environments, admin reports, and historical usage tracking:

  • Isolated 3D Model Counting: Upload limits now deduct and display only 3D model counts specific to Mattress Builder, providing full separation from standard prop uploads.

  • Real-Time Deduction on Save: Model upload limits are deducted at the point of prop save, ensuring real-time accuracy.

  • Prop Group Integration: Mattress prop group creation workflows now fully integrate with upload deduction logic for consistent quota tracking.

Application-Wide Improvements

Several functional enhancements have been introduced across the platform’s core modules, improving configurator capabilities and operational flexibility:

  • Properties can now be edited directly inside the Custom Map Editor for more granular configuration control.

  • Added product-level filtering options within the Dashboard to accelerate asset discovery and management.

  • Collection items can now be downloaded directly from the frontend interface, simplifying content management workflows.

Issue Resolutions Across the Platform

A variety of system-level defects have been addressed across multiple modules to improve stability and data integrity:

  • Resolved color palette inconsistencies that prevented proper color selection and resets.

  • Fixed missing product images on Product Page V2.

  • Project sharing failures caused by internal sharing errors have been corrected.

  • Model request notifications now accurately display model names instead of technical identifiers.

Retail Automation Workflow Fixes

Important refinements have been introduced to ensure smoother behavior in Retail Automation, specifically across duplication, tray management, and combination workflows:

  • Resolved rendering issues where props disappeared from duplicated racks.

  • Addressed issues where bulk replacements caused props to be removed incorrectly when switching can sizes.

  • Combination data now remains fully intact when deleting or modifying racks.

  • Clear Tray functionality has been fully restored across all rack workflows.

This release delivers a significant leap forward in configurator reliability, model quota accuracy, UI responsiveness, and overall platform stability. With these updates, users benefit from smoother configuration flows, while administrative teams gain better visibility into resource consumption and reporting. Together, these refinements continue to strengthen the foundation for scalable product customization across Mattress Builder, Retail Automation, and supporting modules.
